Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Energy, Environment, and a Sustainable Maine Economy
On Thursday October 21, 2010 at USM’s Hannaford Hall, Maine’s leading environmental organizations are hosting a forum for citizens to hear our gubernatorial candidates discuss topics critical to Maine’s future, including clean air and water, climate change and energy, wildlife and land conservation, and a sustainable economy.
The event is free and open to the public. The program, Choosing Maine’s Next Governor: Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Energy, the Environment and a Sustainable Maine Economy, begins with coffee and dessert, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the candidate forum runs 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Susan Sharon of Maine Public Broadcasting Network will moderate the event.
The forum is hosted by Conservation Law Foundation, Environment Northeast, Maine Audubon, Maine Center for Economic Policy, and Natural Resources Council of Maine and co-sponsored by Maine Rivers and more than a dozen additional organizations.
